SUDDEN URGE TO BLOG

Eh..Eh!! Can't believe I'm back in front of the computer so fast... Damn! I'm hooked...

Guess what? I applied for URGENT LEAVE.. Reason being my mum-in-law was hospitalised... It was a spur of the moment kind of thing.. I lost someone dear to me last year when I was out of town... It brought back memories on that very fateful day... So i decided not to take the chance... Called the office & got 2 days...

5 Apr 06- I went to Tanjong Pagar Railway to pick up my parents from Kuala Lumpur. Tha train came in at 0745hrs. Had a light B'fast with them & sent them straight home to Hougang. They were tired from the 9hr train ride.

Took the MRT to Little India & walked to KK Hospital. When I got there Mother was warded at 6102(Women's Tower). The nurse was doing there routine stuffs like taking blood pressure, temp, etc. Mother seemed a bit nervous. It was showing on her face.. I can understand her sentiments as she has never been operated on throughout her entire life. So it was a new experience for her.

Tina & I left the hospital soon after that as we had to do some grocery shopping.. Maklumlah Director Dapur on medical leave.. We got home at noon & Tina started her cooking for the day.. I helped in cleaning the house while she cooked. At about 1330hrs Adik Sharul called to inform that Mother has been brought into the Operating Theatre.

Tina finished cooking at about that time as well. She managed to prepare fried noodle, Lauk Dhal telor, a veg dish & steam rice. Wow! A real feast.. Afterwards, Tina & I manage to get some rest. At about 1700hrs, we got ready & headed for the hospital.

When we arrived, Mother was just brought back to her ward. She was still in a daze & a little pain. We left her to rest & attended by the nurse. We sat at the lounge just outside Mother's room. There we had our meal. Bapak joined us as he was starving..

Ali & Yan came after Maghrib & managed to see Mother half awake.. They stayed for an hour & left. At 2200hrs I sent Bapak, Sharul & Lala home while Tina stayed back with Abg Ita at the hospital. I came back to fetch Tina & Abg Ita, went for supper & went home at midnight,

This routine of waking up, going to the hospital, bringing food & going back home at night continued for the next 3 days. Tina cooked, I sent Bapak to hospital, pick Tina & head to the hospital, bring everyone home at night.

Finally Mother was discharged on Sunday. I went to pick her up with Sharul & Bapak. We were all relieved to see Mother back home. After that I was off to Bombay, leaving the rest to take care of Mother. I know Mother will be in good hands. Insya Allah she will be fine. A speedy recovery for Mother.

Something I learned from this experience... Never take for granted your loved ones.. They may be naggy, unreasonable, invading your privacy, etc.. You must remember this... THEY CARE!! That's the reason they are doing this.. You will only understand if you become a parent or have someone whom you are responsible for...

My sincere apologies to all. No excuses for my disappearance from this page... It's either I'm busy or plain lazy... So her goes my story...

"ITCH TO GET HITCHED"

My good friend ZUL CINA decided to a make shocking announcement on the changes he's making in his life...GET MARRIED! Tak ada angin tak ada ribut terus nak kahwin.. What's happening??

So we the Boyz decided to have a talk with Zul. A lot of questions ran in my mind when he told me the news... Is he ready? Financially?... Is she the ONE?... His whims & fancies... Her whims & fancies... Many questions need to be raised..

Zul claimed that he has already done his calculations with his partner & it seem that he is ready... The name's SITI HAJJAR (hope I got that right... My apologies to Siti if it's not) From his answers he is determined to marry this girl.... Wow!!

Ali's main concern is Zul's financial stability. On that part I shall not elaborate... You guys can ask Ali if you nak Kay-Poh... OK... For the emotional bit Ali left it to me to do the probing..

My main concern is whether he is sure that she is the one for him.. How about her parents... What do they think of this decision of hers.. Has Zul really know Siti? One more thing Zul "DAH SUNAT KE BELUM?" (Sorry I just have to put that in)

The Boyz on the other hand is very much concern on his financial status... Their question "If Zul can't even mange himself how the hell is he going to manage another person in his life" Think Zul... Think!!

After 2 hrs of talking, we concluded that his mind is set on the MARRIAGE.. Nothing on this earth can make him change his mind... We as friends just have to accept his decision... And be HAPPY FOR HIM!!!

After a few days Tina & I went to Choa Chu Kang to see Siti's parents regarding the selling & buying of property. They are interested to sell their house... Tina manage to talk about the wedding plans of Siti & Zul to her parents. We got quite a bit of unexpected version of the story from the parents. The parents are happy with Zul...

We went to Bukit Panjang to meet up with Ali & the Boyz.. Zul came later with Siti. Zul had this imoression that we are going to throw questions at Siti as he already had his time with us.. Little did he realise that it was going to be him again... Poor Chap!!

There was one point being brought up by Siti that disturbed me. Zul claimed that since he made his own decision to convert to Islam, he doesn't need to consult anyone regarding his decision to get married..

A tight SLAP on Ali's face. I know how it feels. My feelings to you my Brother.. What was Zul thinking when he said that? I take my hats off you for the decision to convert.. But this... I don't know what to say... Who do you look for when you were in trouble? ALI!! Then why did you look for him? Go settle your own problem!! As you claimed. Selfish BRAT!!!

He's your problem solver? And it seems that Zul has been telling a different story to us & another to Siti and family. Please Zul get your story right & consistent.. Be a MAN.. Sometimes the truth hurts but it will make you a better person if you learn from them..

The latest I heard from Ali is that both decided to bring forward till April next year. See how fickle can they be... Anyway it is a good decision.. More time to prepare, save, coordinate...

Any how, since it is his decision to get married we have to respect that. We as friends just want you to be happy. Just remember that you always have us whenever you need a helping hand.. REMEMBER THAT ZUL!!

THE WAIT IS FINALLY OVER

9 days I'm away.. My apologies to all who have been waiting anxiously for my updates(tengok muka kenal) A bit busy with things to do as well as helping my dear friends...

Where can I start? Hmmm... Ok.. Here goes...

Left Singapore for Karachi on 20 Feb.. Yes.. Karachi. My dearest Mamu Ali was worried shit about my departure to that city. The happenings that you read in the papers, turmoil's there. The recent one being the riots over the Cartoons Incident. I can understand his sentiments. My dearest wife keep reminding me not to go out of the hotel. I love you darling. Well.. I was there for 2 days. Alhamdulillah...Nothing bizarre happened. I manage to enjoy the sights of the place, its bazaar, people... Came back to Singapore in 1 piece on 23 Feb..

Accompanied my Bro Sham to the Sub-Courts the next day(24 Feb).. Some Magistrate Order against his father & sis-in-law.. However, he was informed there was a change of date which was the day before.. He didn't receive any letter informing him of the change in date.. So the Magistrate closed the case since my Bro wasn't present.. Due to this my Bro had to write a letter to ask them to open the case again.. Which would take another 2 wks... The waiting game again... My Bro had to wait 3 goddamn mths b4 his complaint is being heard... Wow! That's how long the POLICE takes to investigate this case... Well Done!!!

That night my wife & I went to Le Meridien Orchard to attend the launch of the new collection of cosmetics by E. Funkhouser...(AmWay punyalah!!!) Support sikit my Bro.. Very educational... You learn about make-up..

The next day(25 Feb), I went to Eunos for the B'day Party of Amira Sufya(anak Ali Dah!) Really a PARTY!!! A smaller scale of Jemputan Kahwin... Kemah ada.. Kerusi Meja ada... Deco ada... Buffet spread ada.. Cuma Berkat tak ada... It was a big event though... As usual I made myself useful... Collect plates & glasses... Make sure air cukup.. Replenish clean plates, glasses & utensils... Best jugak.. Tolong kendarat... The party ended at about 8.30pm

Left for Bangkok the next day(26 Feb).. Spent a night there & was back on 27 Feb.. I got the chance to visit the AmWay warehouse. Huge building I must say...

That is all that I can remember... A busy off day in Singapore.. By the way, today is my nephew's 1'st Birthday... HAPPY BIRTHDAY AKIF BUDIMAN!! Hope I can celebrate with him when I come back from my trip on 3 Mar.

I've been occupied with a little project my dearest Bro Ali had given me. Thanks Bro for accupying me with this.. At the same time making myself useful by learning the computer. He.He.He..

A website to call my own. Thanks to Bro Ali who gave it to me as an advance birthday present.. Costly one but hopefully will reap in profits in the future.. Insya Allah.. Trying to recall my past experiences was quite a challenging one. You know.. I've not been writing for quite a while.. You know, the sitting down, Cracking your brains to get ideas & putting these in writing.. Phew!! Getting the hang of it I hope..

So far I managed to write 3 articles base on my experience. Not bad for starters.. Thanks to Ida(Bro Ali's other half) she designed the website. Nice.. Interesting.. Thanks again Ida... The only thing for me to do is to provide materials for it.. Pening!! Pening!!

My wife & I had lunch at MacDonald's with my parents, my siblings & niece yesterday. One big happy family. At night, met up with Bro Ali & wifey at Spize cos she felt like having Mee Sop.. Hai.. Siapa yg mengandung ni?? Anyway, we bumped into Nishad & wifey there. They were the ones in charge for our wedding decoration last July. Good job guys... I'll definitely refer them to anyone who is getting married.. Worth your money.. I can guarantee that...

Nishad's wife is expecting too. Around the same time as my wife is due.. They were from the S'pore Xpo for the 'Pameran Pengantin" They had their supper there.

As for us, we lepak & had our supper. By the way, Liverpool knocked out Man. United out of the FA Cup. Better luck next time guys.. Or maybe no luck at all... He He He..
We left the place at 3am. Ali asked me to come to Clementi for soccer at 10am but I don't think so lah kan!! You can carry on Bro.. Rest kat rumah lagi best... Face the computer... Macam sekarang..

Ok lah.. Sampai di sini saja BEBELAN saya.. Hingga berjumpa lagi di hari & waktu yg lain.. Bye Bye..

Assalamualaikum..I'm back again.. Hmm.. Very addictive this 'BLOGGING' thingy..

Anyhow, finally met up with my bro on V'day evening @2330hrs. He suggested Swensen's next to Paragon. Picked my sis-in-law at Somerset & drove past the restaurant. Wah got Q liao!! At 11pm.. Called him & we ended up at 3 Monkeys Cafe at Orchard Towers...

So, we had something light there. Talked a bit.. Almost forgot, the company that night consisted of A.A.Ali & wife, Me & wife, Yan & wife.. Ooopss!! Sorry..Sorry.. Tersasul.. Yan & Miss Lala.. Jgn marah eh.. Yan.. Same goes to Lala.

It's been a while since i hang out in town at night.. Not too bad lah kan.. Remember the old days... Just struck me, I'm on standby that day. But I guess it's another off day.. Yahoo!!!

Then we adjourned to Clementi Ave 2 for light tea. There Ali explained to both the wives about a project he has for them.. As for me, my dearest Bro Ali has not given up hope yet. Although he had talked to me about a few projects($$$) I just sat on them... Sometimes I wonder why has he not given up on me? I'm just plain lazy, I guess. Furthermore, I know nuts about Computers.. Have to start now.. B4 it's too late.. Gotta help myself...

We dispersed @ 0400hrs $ I got home about 0500hrs.

Jeng! Jeng! Jeng! I woke up @ 0900hrs the next day. Called Ali & he was surprised I woke up early. Had late B'fast with my wife at home.. Headed to Tampines Mall to check out any latest HP. Maklumlah dapat $100 voucher. Nothing interesting.. Even in Clementi. Then went to Tingkat 6 for Nasi Lemak. Malu jugak tapi Rezki jgn ditolak.. Apalagi bedal lah!!

Reached home about 2000hrs. Wanted to rest for a while & maybe go out for supper. Last last tidur sampai pagi lah! "Nafsu Ada Tenaga Kurang!".. Kwang! Kwang! Kwang!

Woke up early today. Brought my wife to the doctor. Very bad cough she has.. Whole night she didn"t sleep well..Plus my snoring lah!! Feel very bad... Got to do something about my weight... Lunch at Parkway with Wifey & parents.. Then head home to rest... My wife's sleeping now after the medication...

Oklah!! Dah habis.. Jari pun dah penat.. Till my next update session....

Hello there! It's me again.... Surprised? Me too... I didn't expect to update my blog so soon...

Actually, I'm really free now cos I was on course...Yes on COURSE.. Taken off my standby & put to attend this course... Office hours.... What a drag... However, I survived!!!

OK..OK.. Back to the course I went today... It's called "SINGAPORE AMBASSADOR PROGRAMME" So I'm officially qualified to promote my beloved country to tourists around the world. Wow! A big responsibility!! As if I bother..

Arrived at SIA Training Centre at 0815hrs & went straight to class. The Trainer came on time at 0900hrs. He started by talking about the history of Singapore...Alamak! History lesson ke bang!

From Sir Stamford Raffles to Sang Nila Utama, he covered everything about WW2. Actually very interesting to learn about the war. Got some references from the trainer for my future readings.(if I ever find the time lah!)

Next he went into the different cultures in Singapore. Mainly the CHINESE, MALAYS & INDIANS. So we discussed on topics ranging from Chinatown, Kampong Glam, Little India, Merlion, etc... Hmmm.. I wonder how come Geylang is not in the picture....
After that he touched on interesting sites found in Singapore.. eg: Zoo, Bird Park.. etc. You guys fill the rest..

Then comes the various festivals celebrated in Singapore. I didn't realise we had so many festivals in a year....Woohoo!! Too bad no PH on some of these festivals... Damn!

Lastly, he covered on how to draft an itinerary for tourist coming to Singapore. It can consist of 1,2,3 day programme or even more... So I'm not only here to serve pax on board but a tour guide as well... Have to consider monetary returns...

The most interesting part of the course is knowing the various places on War Memorial. I will definitely try to visit these sites if I have the time. It's good to know what went on in Singapore during the war... Suddenly, feeling a bit patriotic.... Majulah Singapura!

Alright..Alright... Enough of my day... Kan sesekali update...Not Bad!!

I better get ready.. Meeting my Bro MAPLEK tonight.. Dah lama tak jumpa... Nanti merajuk pulak orang tua tu!
